What has changed, newest first
Only changes a merchant would notice are listed. Work on tests, infrastructure and internal tooling is left out.
1 September 2026
- Demand estimates now hold steady between sales. A product selling once a week or once a fortnight was read as though it had stopped selling in the days between orders, and a product that had simply had a quiet month could be treated as having no demand at all. Either could suppress its reorder advice entirely. Estimates now settle over about three weeks instead of two days, which is the span a reorder decision actually covers.
- The "no demand" alert said "no recorded sales" about products that had plenty, just none recently. It now says "no recent sales", and it no longer counts products with nothing in stock.
- Alerts and Recommendations no longer stop at 200 rows. Both pages showed the first 200 and counted them as the total, so a busy store was told it had 200 alerts and had no way to reach the rest. They now report the real number and page through all of it.
- Both pages can be filtered and searched. Alerts by kind and severity, recommendations by reason, and both by product name or SKU.
- Recommendations are now ordered by urgency inside each group as well as between groups. Two items both below their reorder point are sorted by which runs out first.
- The explanation behind a reorder now opens over the list instead of below it. On a long list it appeared far down the page, so it looked as though nothing had happened.
- Gift cards are no longer suggested for reorder. Shopify tracks inventory on them, but there is no supplier to order more from.
31 August 2026
- A free plan. Forecasts, the figures behind every reorder, alerts and drafted purchase orders now cost nothing and have no time limit. Sending an order to a supplier and recording a delivery need a paid plan.
- Mistyping the digest email address now says so. It used to return you to the same screen with no explanation.
- Fixed several screens that could load without their Shopify context and appear blank, including the billing page and the setup steps.
28 August 2026
- A shop that uninstalls without Shopify telling us is now noticed within the hour, so the promise to delete its data still holds.
- A recommendation is withdrawn once it stops being true, rather than staying on the list quoting figures from the day it was written.
26 August 2026
- Nightly work is now spread across the hour and run several stores at a time, so a large catalogue does not delay anyone else.
- Plan bands are judged in your own currency rather than converted, so a store trading in yen or rupees is not told it has outgrown a plan it has not.
- Unit costs are re-read every night. They used to be read once, when you installed, so a cost set afterwards never reached a purchase order.
- Forecasts older than 35 days are removed automatically.
21 August 2026
- Provido published on the Shopify App Store.
